The Bay Area Classic. What a contest!!!! Props to Dave Bazan for putting this all together. I have so many stories to tell, but unfortunately I’m really short on time right now and will be for the next few weeks so it may be a while before anything is posted. I showed up with the Double XL Crew on Friday night not really in the mood to shoot video… and I ended up shooting 4 hours of stuff! (Thanks Cit for letting me buy tape off you) The first thing I’m posting are the top three Spintop freestyles. You can find them in the ‘Observational Footage’ part of the Large Videos section. When I find the time to post more, you’ll find about here so keep checkin back. If you’re looking for the yo-yo freestyles, you can find them over at Sector Y.

Oh yeah, much props to mah boys Steve, Felix, and Patrick for takin home trophies! And props to the whole DXL Crew for reppin’ all weekend long.

Glasseye's Duncans
Hehe, I Just had to do a little flossin. I got home yesterday and waiting in my mailbox was a package from Stan! He modified the white capped Wheel and the General Lee on the right. The other three are yo-yos I received from Steve Brown after I made some sidecap modifications. All of them play beautifully! Thanks again Stan and Steve!

Craig at the National Yo-Yo Museum

Quick update cause I’m in a rush… I’m releasing an old video of the Spin Doctors. You can find it under the Observational Footage part of the Large Videos section. Remember, it’s an OLD video that I edited a LONG TIME AGO. So it’s not up to par with the newer stuff. Aaaaighhtt? I’m out.

What an interesting weekend. I spent most of Saturday driving all around Southern Cali with a big friggin headache figuring out where I’m gonna live when my lease comes up at the end of the month. On Sunday I visited my moms and then went to Hollywood to visit Sib’s mom where her 6-year old niece forced me to learn and play ‘Go Fish’. I lost. My life is now complete. When I finally got home and opened the door, several flying insects straight bumrushed into my apartment. I didn’t pay too much attention since it happens all the time, but when I turned on the lights, I swear I saw Mothra. It was the biggest friggin Moth I have ever seen. Probably the same size as Mothra (though I haven’t seen him in person). So there I was, running around the apartment with an Escrima stick (Filipino weapon made of rattan) in hand trying to whack Mothra unconscious. During the chase my eye fell out so I threw it at him. Knocked the sucker out cold.

Oh yeah, found an old video I made of the Spin Doctors when I visited them almost two years ago. This was pre-glasslab so it was never released. Horribly edited, but good fun none the less. I’ll post it sometime this week when I find some music.

In the beloved state in which I reside… California, we have a little thing going on right now known as an “Energy Crisis”. I had a firsthand experience of the “crisis” yesterday and I must say, “It’s about time!” How did the rolling blackout effect my daily grind yesterday? Well let’s see… I was forced by my manager to leave work early. Gee, and they call this a crisis?

With the help of the Double XL Crew, the videos of the compulsory tricks for The Worlds have been completed. Once they have been approved by the higher-ups, I’ll get those posted. I’m also going to be making videos that will break down the single A tricks into pieces and slow things down a bit. That should make learning these tricks easier.

Damn I’m excited for BAC!!! I’ve been doing alot of stressing with work and projects lately and this boy needs a much deserved vacation. I just hope it’s not as cold and windy as they said it was last year. I find it hard to pull tricks wearing a parka, scarf, beanie, and snow goggles. That is unless you’re throwing a Freehand of course. These things are wicked soopa doopa fly stupid fresh dope! I just got my production version last week. I liked it so much that my glass eye popped out from all the excitement! Next time I’ll remember to wear my eye patch. Go and buy one right now for each finger or prosthetic limb you may have.

The trick lists have been finalized at The World’s Website. Citadel and I will be spending the next week getting the videos of the tricks up to clear up any confusion from the text descriptions. Look for these videos to be posted towards the end of next week.
