So I finally got off my ass and got some work done. But of course none of this would have been possible without all the different contributers so let me throw out some props. Thanks to DXL Crew member Hans Wong Jensen of Singapore who provided me with the following videos. I now have the top 5 freestyles of each division from the 2004 Asia Pacific Yo-Yo Challenge posted. He sent me these videos a few months ago and recently I asked him if I could share them with all of you to which he replied “of course La” to which I replied “thank you la”. Videos are in the Observational Footage section of the Large Videos page.
Now, my next video is not new, but it’s a damn good one. DXL Crew member Fiend X made a video called “eXordium” which made half the community yell “OH MY GAWD! I CANAWT BELEV ET!” The video rocks. Mikhail rocks. So thanks to the generosity of Mikhail, eXordium now has a permanent home here at theglasslab.com. You’ll find it in the Unclassified Material section of the Large Videos page.
This Saturday Ambri, Sibyl, and I will be teaching Boy Scouts how to yo-yo at the Scout Fair 2005 at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Go here for general info. I’m not sure if this is open to the general public, but if it is… please come down and hang out. I signed up for cub scouts as a kid but never made it to the first meeting and now I have the job of teaching a few thousand boy scouts how to yo-yo. That’s scary. Thank God Sibyl and Ambri will be there with me.
I’ll also be doing a demo for Duncan at the Toy Boat at Fashion Island in Newport Beach next Saturday, April 30th from 10:00am-12:00pm. I’ll be alone at that one, unless Sibyl decides to stick around and hang out. I’ll be leaving exactly at 12:00pm so if you do come, try to get there on time.
That’s it for today. Pssst… takeshi… your secret has been realized. *wink* *wink* Same place as last time unless you want it changed.
