I’ve been intrigued by the American based company General Yo for a while. Brian discussed them a bit a while back on the glass lab. My intrigue is based on the fact that there are fewer and fewer companies creating products in the USA. General Yo is a boutique company, producing small runs of yo-yo’s. From what I can tell there focus and reason for small run’s is quality.

I picked up the General Yo Mini-Star in a trade. I’m sure I got the better end of that trade. This undersized yo-yo can really play. The majority of little players are novelties, this little fella can keep up with the big boys. I’d consider this a pocket yo-yo, one you can keep in your pocket without annoying you.

You can see from the images this yo-yo is a player, lot’s of love marks on her. And were just getting started. I’m sure I’ll add some more. One of the cool features is the surface, it almost feels like Teflon, you can see it from the first photo. Not sure if they are going to be producing anymore of these, and they are sold out everywhere. You can count on one thing, I’ll be seeking out some more General Yo products in the near future.
