My history of AAA
started with Double Trapeze. Double
Trapeze was this mystical, elusive ghost of a trick. Everyone seemed to have known
someone that could do it or seen someone do it or talked to some who had done
it, but in the end it was all very Loch Ness monstery. But in 1998 at the American
National Yoyo Contest
in Chico, California a documented case appeared. On the trip to the contest, Tom
Van dan Elzen, the owner of ProYo, offered a $100 prize to any member of the team
who could land the trick in front of 2 witnesses before the end of the trip. According
to accounts, Marcus Fiebka did just that on the last day and took the money.
